If it’s a car, boat or plane you own, you can use it to “go” on vacation. If you pay to go on somebody else’s thing, like a cruise line, it is only a memory and you have nothing material of value to replace the money spent. Going on vacation is safe for me because I don’t have a cell phone or other encumbrance!
